Someday-Champion Finally Answers Questions from the Press, Haughtily

Reporters had been reporting that Hillary Clinton wasn’t responding to questions from reporters, even though reporters have tailed her in earnest to report many a reportalicious report about her since she announced her presidential candidacy around a month ago. Ed Henry of Fox News has tried to get her to answer questions from the press for at least the last couple of days. Yesterday, he made his point as she exited an event at a married gay couple’s home, which was closed off from journalists before they could ask her anything.

Today, Henry tried to ask her a question at another public appearance, this time at a small business panel discussion. As reporters are reporting, her response was trademark Hillary–a wee bit defensive and testy:

The nerve of that Fox News reporter to interrupt Her Majesty as she was in the middle of giving noncommittal answers to her subjects everyday Americans.

But at long last, Hillary spared a couple of minutes to answer questions from the press.

Nod, nod, nod, shake your head when the question doesn’t go the way you hope. Laugh that weird laugh. Flail your arms. Bug your eyes. Say you want the emails from your two accounts released ASAP while feeling confident that you may have until next year–or maybe not–to figure out how to respond when the messages do go public.

Questions are such a bother. They’re cutting into her spending-time-with-small-controlled-groups-of-people time.

“When you’re in the public eye, when you’re in an official position,” Clinton said, “I think you do have to work to make sure you’re not caught in a bubble and you only hear from a certain small group of people…”

She might want to work a little harder on that.
