A new gotcha from the Left in regards to the impending SCOTUS Obamacare subsidy ruling…if SCOTUS rules in favor of Republicans, Republicans still lose. Why? Well, because two-thirds of people who signed up for Obamacare are in red states. No data to back up the fact that two-thirds of people receiving subsidies are Republicans, just that two-thirds of people on Obamacare are in Republican states and therefore being shot in the foot for voting Republicans into office.
As proof, they offer a totally non-biased report from a totally non-biased group that thinks ACA was a “step in the right direction.” There is also no data on how many of these people had perfectly good insurance they liked and could afford prior to losing their insurance because of Obamacare, which forced them to sign up for Obamacare lest they be without coverage or FINED for not having coverage. Conveniently, no one is keeping track of that data.
What data there is that the Left ignores shows that even if Republican constituents will be the most affected by a SCOTUS ruling in favor of the plaintiff and would lose their subsidies, those are the same people who voted for Republicans in historic numbers in 2014 on the promise of repealing Obamacare. So while they may be using the system to get their medical coverage, they don’t like it and they want it gone.
