Biology Is Offensive and Intolerable, and Those Who Refer to It Must Be Punished

Our modern purveyors of tolerance are done tolerating other views. They’re done tolerating science. They’re done tolerating reason. We know this by their intolerance of dissent in the global warming debate–a debate that is not over, no matter how often they declare it is over.

Genetic science is now another target of the intolerant tolerance promoters. One went so far as to threaten someone who pointed out the facts on national television.

Forgive the long lead-in to the instance, but it may be worthwhile to document what led to that must-see television moment.

On Thursday night’s edition of HLN’s Dr. Drew program, a panel of six guests and the host Dr. Drew Pinsky discussed whether or not the transgendered person who still goes by the legal name of Bruce Jenner–but who wants everyone to call him Caitlyn–deserved the ESPN Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. The discussion also touched on the topics of gender identity, science, and treatment. Ben Shapiro, writer for Breitbart, was the token conservative pundit.

After a few words by Shapiro about how his 18-month-old son defines himself, there was some bickering between two entertainment reporters about how Bruce-Caitlyn brought mainstream awareness (yes, that again) to the troubles that transgendered people experience versus how wrong it is that Bruce-Caitlyn is rich, white, and old.

Then transgendered Inside Edition reporter Robert Tur, who now calls himself Zoey, spoke about how “being brave is being yourself,” probably without considering that Shapiro was the lone conservative voice on the excitable panel, and added that “being transgender is about the bravest thing you can do.”

In response, Shapiro asked, “Why are we mainstreaming delusion?” When asked to elaborate, he said, “Because Bruce-Caitlyn Jenner–I’ll call him Caitlyn Jenner–” and was immediately scolded by one of the entertainment reporters.

“No, it’s her. You’re not being polite with the pronouns. It’s disrespectful,” she said.

Shapiro’s answer to that was, “Facts don’t care about your feelings,” and he reminded his fellow panelists that Jenner’s male biology is still there, from his chromosomes to his appendages.

The other entertainment reporter got some giggles for saying he wasn’t “on that train.” Well, of course he wasn’t. He and his fellow progressives are passengers on the Disorient Express.

Dr. Drew next brought the conversation around to gender dysphoria, which is the clinical term for the unease and discontent one has over his or her gender identity. Tur addressed this by saying that chromosomes do not determine gender. When Pinsky attempted to clarify this in terms of how one identifies oneself, Tur cited Klinefelter syndrome, a genetic condition that affects 1 in 500 to 1 in 1000 males–a minority section of the transgender community.

But apparently that was enough of a “take that” moment for Tur, who placed his hand on Shapiro’s shoulder beside him and told Shapiro that the conservative didn’t know what he was talking about.

As Shapiro tried to ask Tur what he knew about genetics and as Dr. Drew tried to change the subject, Tur, in very unladylike fashion, gripped Shapiro by the back of his neck, looked directly in Shapiro’s face, and said, “You cut that out now, or you’ll go home in an ambulance.”

Here’s the video, with the threat taking place around the 5:30 mark:

So that happened. Try to speak reason, try to speak with logic and fact, and they will gang up on you, bully you, until you shut your yap or risk physical harm. The oppressed have become the oppressors. Because someone’s feelings are hurt, you are not allowed to bring up…science.

What’s not shown in the above video is the continuing discussion that took place after the break, but you can watch the rest of it here. In it, one of the panelists referred to genocide of transgender children in comparison to the Holocaust. Also, Tur continued to attempt to antagonize Shapiro. He called Shapiro a “little man” who is “consumed with hatred,” saying that “there’s ramifications for hate speech.”

If that’s the case, Bob-Zoey Tur should exercise caution. Threatening someone with bodily harm is pretty hateful speech.

I will agree somewhat with American Thinker’s Carol Brown that Shapiro was a bit on the smug side, but it’s easy to understand when you’re surrounded by raging morons. And he had to know that when he was calling people delusional, they would react with more rage. That’s no excuse for threatening him with physical harm.

Note: I may sometimes identify as a bacon cheeseburger, or I may identify as a burgeoning sprout. My moniker’s first name is a chemical compound. I am not literally any of those things. If someone wishes to think of me as a male human, they are free to do so. I won’t get on anyone’s case for it. I quite frequently encourage it. Because that is what I am–a man. Science verifies it. Biology is biology. Fact is fact.

Transphobophobes like Bob-Zoey don’t like people pointing out facts to Bob-Zoey. Bob-Zoey’ll kick you in your ear and curb-stomp you if you disagree with Bob-Zoey. Look out for Bob-Zoey.

Bob-Zoey.

Idle thought: Jenner…gender…hmm…
