Tonight’s Democratic debate is on regular network TV tonight, so if you’re at home and you have a television with the means to pick up a local CBS station, you don’t have to bog down your computer with a live stream. Network pre-debate coverage should be on already, in case you wish to pre-numb your brain before the onslaught of awful really begins.
However, if you prefer other ways to watch or listen to the debate, here’s how you can, according to the CBS website (links included):
- On TV: CBS television affiliates or on CBSN streaming on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Xbox One
- Mobile: CBSN streaming on the CBS News apps CBS News for Android and CBS News for iOS
- Online: CBSNews.com (livestream will include real-time Twitter trends, instant reactions, curated Tweets and other key information)
- On radio: CBS Radio News affiliates
Mic.com will also host the live feed here.
The debate starts at 9pm Eastern Time/8pm Central Time and lasts for two hours. There will (may?) be a greater focus on foreign policy in the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks in France yesterday. Now that there are only three candidates in the Democratic primary race–Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders (the puss, h/t H50), and Martin O’Malley–this should give each of them plenty of time to make fools of themselves with empty platitudes and phony social justice outrage.
Oh, and CBS will be airing tweets during the program from Twitterers who use the hashtag #DemDebate. The network says it will select some questions from Twitter users to ask during the debate, too.
So here’s your open thread for the debate or for anything else that’s on your mind.
