We often get hung up blaming one side of the aisle for problems in this country, when the reality is that both sides are corrupt. Most politicians on right, the left, and in the middle are nothing more than power-hungry panderers, always campaigning to keep their jobs rather than following the Constitution.
A couple of big issues, in my mind, that never get resolved are taking care of our veterans and how to handle illegal immigration.
Here’s how not to handle these two issues.
My thoughts: Why are we deporting veterans instead of getting them the help they need? If any group of non-citizen needs to be fast-tracked to citizenship, it’s these men and women. We’ve heard the screaming and gnashing of teeth over how horrible it would be if we rounded up millions “who just want a better life,” and how the crimes that some of these illegals are just “non-violent” crimes and not severe enough to be deported. If just one veteran has been deported because they committed a “non-violent” crime, then every last one of these similar offenders must be deported. No one should treated better than those who have served to protect our freedom. f
