Dear Marinated Queer Freaks,
I want to address the tensions and discourse that’s been occurring on the blog lately.
Tensions are high. The impending doom of another four years of insanity after our hopes were dashed by Ted Cruz dropping out of the race has many of us in a funk. The continuous onslaught of crazy lunacy gets tiring. Many here have been facing some personal struggles.
Add to that, none of us is afraid to speak our minds, even in disagreement with our “family.” We are bound to piss each other off on occasion. And lately it seems even our usual joking and bantering is pissing people off.
I just want to ask everyone to take a breath. I’m not asking anyone to bite their tongue if they disagree, but please keep it civil. If you’re about to make an ugly comment. Take a breath. Think before you type. I won’t allow this blog to turn into a sewer of bashing of conservatives by conservatives. We are all on the same side when you get right down to it. We have different opinions on things, but ultimately the same goals. Keep that in mind.
I’d rather shut it down than see it devolve into some cheap replica of other sites. And I definitely don’t want to shut it down. We have become like a family. Families disagree and they fight. But in the end, let’s come together and fight the fight we came here to fight.
