Coulrophobia–the fear of clowns.
We’ve all heard of the clown threats and hoaxes which have become a nationwide epidemic. And people are taking the threats sightings seriously.
For example, on Monday several hundred college students from the University of Connecticut armed themselves with all manner of club-like weapons over the rumor of “menacing clowns.” This was proven to be a hoax. But it’s no laughing matter.
Schools have gone on lock down, and in some cases cancelled classes for the day, over these threatening red-nosed, painted-faced creepsters. And police have enough to worry about with real crime. Now they have to take calls for fake threatening clowns and calm the gazillions of people who are afraid of clowns?
Whomever started these pranks, and those who continue to use clowns as threats, are all asshats.
