Philadelphia police were called to break up a brawl between about 30 people on Monday. As you might expect, a racist white cop beat up a totally innocent black bystander and the Black Lives Matter movement is all over it.
Oh wait. No. That’s not what happened. And no, BLM is not all over this one. And there’s nothing on Shaun King’s or Deray McKesson’s Twitter feeds regarding this one.
There was a mob fight, but the police officer in question was black, the beaten girl was black, but she admits to interfering with the arrest of someone else and to slapping the police officer.
In my opinion, the police officer probably did cross a line in her retaliation, but that’s not for me to decide.
