This has been covered previously about the Handmaid’s Tale and the current Feminists attachment to the novel and TV series. They give the impression the world of Gilead (which if you pronounce it phonetically “guy” “lead”, get it? Clever right?) is coming true because mean old men in Congress want to stop funding a private industry that primarily deals in abortion. Obviously this is not the case as here in the USA women are free and able to protest as Handmaids against a policy they disagree with. This is obviously overlooked.

The #Handmaids images are telling. Women need access to health care and reproductive choice. pic.twitter.com/OoZijHEwuD @PPact #StandWithPP

So I present you this article that does a great job of summarizing the damage these protests and the outcries of Gender Wage Gap, etc could actually have on the very movement these women claim to protect.
The only women living in 'The Handmaid's Tale' are feminists https://t.co/zNGCw4csaO via @dcexaminer

If this is how the Progressives intend to stir up support for their base, I say let them continue. They are clearly ignorant of the actual book itself and the impossible circumstances that would give rise to it. You would have to ignore a lot of other potential factors, the biggest being a plague that reduces fertility and ignoring modern medical scientific achievements in cloning and artificial wombs. Their obsession with this dystopian tale will continue to be their undoing.
