Happy Tuesday, FRians! Hope y’all enjoyed Labor Day!! Today’s post is by Mrs. P. Thanks, lady!,
Since March, America has been dealing with covid 19. The media has been scaring people and politicians have been playing political games. When Trump wanted to do things, the state governors came in and told him he couldn’t. So he passed the responsibility on to the states to do what they thought was best for their locals.
People have been screaming over masks, lying about 15 days to slow the curve and fudging death totals. Kids have been ripped out of schools and away from friends. People have not been able to bury loved ones or even be in the room as life support was ended. This pandemic has been a mess. But the biggest thing that is troubling is the hypocrisy of politicians.
While governors are still locking down parts of the country, political figures have been going to vacation homes, going to eat at restaurants in other states without opening them in their own state, and going to salons.
And it isn’t just the pandemic. During the violence of rioting and looting in American cities the feckless governors and mayors did absolutely nothing to back up there people. As rioters burned down property and loot stores, the still didn’t stop it. Did they stop the violence after people have died? No. In fact, the mayors of Portland, Seattle and Chicago decided to ban these protests only when they came to their own front door. It wasn’t until polling that Democrats even brought up the destruction even though they had a week long convention and could have addressed it then.
There are definitely two different set of rules for the elite and the average American. The right calls out Trump all the time and even some Republicans won’t even vote for him. Yet, the Democrats who are supposed to care about the vulnerable were exposed. Covid restrictions are no longer science based. The riots and looting didn’t stop for even the death of David Dorn.
People are idolizing a man that raped a woman and stole her keys to come back to kill her. If it was not for double standards, some would not have standards at all.
