Happy Monday, FRians! Hope you all had a great weekend!
This Monday’s post comes to us from Mrs. P. Thank you, ma’am!
This is a play on Obama’s book Audacity of Hope. I called it this because this election cycle has been something special. Not only is it crazier than 2016, liberals have the audacity to pretend they have not been crying for four years all through Trump’s Presidency. They have the audacity to shame people for their opinions and vote, even going so far as fighting terminally ill parents.
This is the smugness that irks so many of the left. There “good intentions” do not make it okay in the least. Republicans aren’t free from this criticism either.
The left thinks it is okay to call us coons, sellouts and traitors to our race. The audacity is it comes from the white left. They have no idea how racist it is to tellBlack people how to vote. We must remain loyal no matter what and not require something for our vote. The audacity of the left to them we are beholden to them.
They have a candidate that barely campaigns. The covid-19 pandemic is such a convenient excuse for Biden’s campaign. Yet, the left should be offended. If he is the guy that will fight for you, why isn’t he doing it now? Why is he letting Trump out pace him and out campaign him. Do liberal supporters feel cheated? The audacity to have this really old man hiding out day after day claiming he will fix things for us. In 47 years, he has to rehash his talking points used 6 years ago. This is sad.
The audacity of liberals having four years to get to this moment and complain about waiting in lines to vote. Haven’t they been complaining for years about voter suppression? Why haven’t they done anything? Because they wouldn’t have anything to run on.
It is always promises after promises and the same complaining from America; our cities are dangerous, money problems and unequal treatment under the law.
I can understand not liking President Trump, but how can a man that barely campaigned; continuously made racist statements and showed signs of decline is the best the left has. He had the audacity to sing the same Reverend James Cleveland song Hillary did saying they aren’t tired.
Well, I am tired. Tired of being treated like I don’t have the same thinking capacity as other Americans unless I pledge loyalty to the Democrats. The Democratic Party pretends that they care but it is in empty words and failed policies. They say that they were the reason for the good economy? Why then can’t we point to an actual policy that was done to create such a boom.
Are they responsible for our economic recovery right now? No.
I don’t have a political party because of what I seen happening just this year alone. One party doesn’t fight even with great policy ideas and the other fights hard with very poor ideas. There seems to be no prominent third party that is viable among the behemoths of the red and blue. If I have learned anything this election season, is that trusting that some will see things how I see it is far lower than I expected. The audacity of me thinking that America was finally seeing the light, waswrong.
