The election of Joe Biden with Vice President Kamala Harris was historic in the fact that we have our first female VP in office ever. It was celebrated because it was supposed to be a window for minorities and women to be heard at the highest level in the America gov’t. In the first 100 days, the excuses the liberals use for Biden’s “missteps” on racist rhetoric and his attitudes towards the Black community were obvious not checked by the VP. Her diversity pick by the President seems to be lacking to say the least.
Democrats said the reason that VP Harris pick and win as the first female, would be great for many. Yet, we can see with the Executive Orders the President has sign that that cannot be the case. He made it clear in his campaign that “If you want to know who to vote for and you are Black” we were to vote Joe Biden. Today, I cannot tell why that was to be the case.
Regardless if you believe it to be authentic or not, Donald Trump laid out a 500 billion dollar Platinum Plan to assist the Black community. It was the hard work of many Black conservatives talking to him like Pastor Darrell Scott and Sonnie Johnson, who wanted tangibles for the Black vote. They met with him or numerous occasions and sat at the table discussing ways to fix problems in our community. Kevin Daniels, for example, sat at a separate round table with VP Pence to echo the same conversation to make sure Black voters were heard. Black conservatives went up to the then Republican team and wanted results. The thing that Black liberals constantly fault Republicans for. Now, there was a period of utter silence for Biden-Harris team. Her name is attached to Biden’s every time, but she is the Vice President. What tangibles came with that? Instead, we got a President who has not done anything tangible for the Black vote he almost begged for. Liberals claim with VP Harris, she’d fight for that. But that isn’t what she said. She said “I am not only helping Black people”.
We knew her words were true because she didn’t help any of the groups she supposedly belonged to except one. With one year of “Covid related violence” against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, the left got that community 86 million. It didn’t take a study, It didn’t take a commission. And it was passed with overwhelming support from both sided. No nasty rhetoric on how this is exclusive to one minority group, no words or bad tweets. It was overwhelming pasted. Even with Harris co-sponsoring an Anti-lynching bill, one of up to 200 such bills that still have not passed. For some reason in America, it was okay for the first Asian VP to get something exclusive to that community with not so much as a whimper from naysayers. So, if she wanted to help women and Black people on a larger scale, she could. But she hasn’t yet.
Why was it okay to get a bill exclusive to AAPI groups? Why didn’t know one on either side see it as divisive? Because they weren’t Black. Every time the Black community brings up reparations or some king of tangibles because of our gov’t actually doing things to impede our growth, it is “disrespectful”, “divisive” or “wrong”. It is obvious that helping the Black community is not in their wheel house no matter how many websites or speech we get. Black democrats should be just as upset as they were at Trump.
She didn’t stand up for biological females either. Female athletes have a tough time as it is making the same waves that male athletes do. To achieve academic scholarships and to get ahead, many women see sports as an avenue to success. Well, the Biden Administration ignore the biological differences and signed a Transgender order. Having a biological first female VP meant nothing to the women who now will have to compete against genetic males.
The left has want to defund the police. They backtrack and say that means to demilitarize after learning that defund wasn’t a good campaign strategy. They even told Senator Ralph Warnock to stop saying defund on his campaign in Georgia. Why then can Kamala Harris send millions of American tax payer dollars down to Central America countries to help stop criminal aliens from breaking our laws? She couldn’t do anything to help our police, secure our borders but she can send money to them. The Biden administration is sending a clear message and it isn’t the one they campaigned on, helping America.
Now, I can give her credit for helping Black famers despite it being attached to Covid relief. That could’ve been a separate bill to address more tangibles for Black America instead of tying it to just Covid funding. It was like it was a reward to Warnock for winning in Georgia instead of an all around comprehensive plan for people across America.
VP Harris was supposedly picked for her work as California’s Attorney General. She laughed on the Breakfast Club about her weed usage but has yet to help do anything on the National level about the non violent weed users that are still locked up. If you look at her past record, she was more in favor of locking people up then fixing anything, but we are going by what she was hired for not her bad track record. She hasn’t done anything to help with that, that I know of as this is being written.
This is why we are to look at people’s actions and not assume what they will do based on factors like race, gender or ethnicity. People should be hired for their qualifications truthfully and the active results. VP Harris is the target of this post because so many danced in the streets at her election as if being the first something is supposed to mean something. Well, if the first person to do something is doing a whole lot of nothing for the American people, they diminish that glass ceiling destruction. For what does it mean to break the glass ceiling if once it is broken, it is meaningless? I need to see her do more before I can answer that honestly.
