Usually, we see a unified front within the DNC and they seem to have no original thoughts amongst their politicians unless it is approved by the party leadership. Cracks within the party are beginning to show between its conservative wing, the progressives and the moderates. Yet, instead of pointing at the fighting and laughing, the right should stay out of it. My biggest pet peeve with Trump is when he used to thrust himself in the middle of fights the left was having so the focus could be off their infighting and put back on him. He made it so easy for the left to forget its internal problems. Yet, he isn’t the focus right now. Cracks are exposing agendas that Biden has failed to accomplish and fighting is getting interesting. I say, Let them fight. Let’s wait to see how this helps or hurts the America people before we respond.
For example, for sometime now Mayor DeBlasio of New York city and Governor Cuomo have been at odds. Personally, I don’t know where the dislike has started but it is definitely more than obvious that the too hate each other. From Cuomo also commenting on what DeBlasio does wrong, to DeBlasio being the first to throw his own governor under the bus when his sexual harassment announcement findings from the AG just dropped. You’d think that Democrats would be more politically worried about losing the Cuomo dynasty he has had over New York and his own father, but on recent days the left has called for the Governor to resign. No help from his CNN brother Chris has saved him. We have seen before with the former Virginia Governor Northam side stepping calls from colleagues to resign and it looks as if Cuomo isn’t going down without a fight. Letters from Biden, Pelosi and Schumer wanting the governor gone are harsh, but he is looking like will not budge. This should really tick off the DNC big wigs that think everyone underneath them should jump if they say so, yet Cuomo isn’t moving. Let them fight and let us watch how this plays out.
The ever so popular DNC “squad” lead by Bronx Rep AOC has caused quite the stir with members in her own party from time to time. She and her fellow members are often times screaming of unequal treatment and/or racism when their anti-Semitism is called out or something they want done doesn’t happen. Being popular in the media and/or on Twitter doesn’t mean squat to Pelosi, winning does! This often puts the younger politicians at odds with old heads. With no student debt relief, no major haul over healthcare and housing, AOC isn’t getting the Democratic socialist agenda that her and team Bernie Sanders have dreamed about. And fellow squad member Illhan Omar wanted to help “Defund” the Police and that isn’t happening either. In fact, Biden never said he was pro-defund the police and often gets called a conservative for not stopping his bombing of foreign countries. He is not doing what they want and that is making the socialist-wing of the Democrats upset. If we do research, it is most apparent because of the recent crime wave, that Democrats are not only funding the police, they have no intent not to do so. In his race for Georgia Senate, Warnock was even told to stop mentioning Defund the police because it polled so poorly. And erroneously conservative attack the Defund mantra to the wrong Democrats when all them were never on board. Instead of looking for a gotcha media click moment, team red should focus on the fact that Democrats have internal fighting going on and that should be where the pressure needs to be applied.
Now Vice-President Harris did poorly on her run to be President placing at 2% in Iowa Caucus which is Democrats voting on each other. Her polling and bad campaign had little to do with Republicans because Republicans do not vote for that number. Moving past the election victory, democrats had memory loss and forgot they didn’t like Harris and liken any negativity she gets to Republicans, her gender and/or her race. Yet, she was already doing poorly before Biden picked her. As a former Senator in California and TOP Prosecutor, she wasn’t the favorite of voters either. Yet, Biden chose her over the obvious begging of Stacey Abrams and Keisha Bottoms. Harris has been called a hypocrite on her joking about smoking weed while locking people up for it, for calling Biden racist and then forgetting all that to be his VP, and her refusal to do her job at the border despite accepting the job. In fact, her “blackness” was supposed to be the allure that Biden saw in picking her because he made it clear that he was going to pick a Black female when he had to choose VP. Sadly, Harris has not done anything that ADOS/FBA voters thought her election position would allow, and internally democrats are upset about it because it is making their constituents upset. Recently, rumors and leaks are coming out that she is a horrible politician to work for and her working environment is a hostile one. Whatever the left thinks of VP Harris, they need to sort it out if they want to run her as POTUS in the future. I say, as a non Democrat, the right should let her keep going, she is only hurting herself.

Finally, since we mentioned DeBlasio, there has been a recent development in his mass COVID mandates. The NYC Mayor made it mandatory that people show proof of vaccination status before doing anything indoors. This upset New Yorkers and voter alike, even with the man not running for re-election. He was the first politician to set out to reinstate masking and vaccination which could set precedent for other areas. Celebrities and social media influencers came out up in arms over such a mandate and that was expected, especially all of the right leaning ones. Boston Mayor Kim Janey, according to the Boston Globe, remarked that in the past America has asked to see papers. She is the first Black woman to be mayor of Boston and made comments to remind America, that minorities have trouble with access to healthcare and such requirements maybe difficult (A normal democratic talking point to combat a democrat turn when it comes to vaccinations it seems). However, the Mayor only added the healthcare explanations after her own city council called her comment dangerous, because most of the unvaccinated are also Black people. There was literally no need for the Bostonian to comment on what was happening in New York but the fact that she even used a common left-wing call for better access to care for minorities to make the case against vaccine status mandates is interesting. Usually democrats back each other up and do things as one solid unit. Without the distraction that is Donald Trump, their doing, the left is now exposed as not having it all together and actually have issues to deal with internally.
I point this out because the right likes to gloss over the fact that their are in fact factions within the Democratic Party fighting to finish the death blow to the older generations blue dog democrats. The different entities, as they fights are doing so because many of the big wigs are 70 plus and can die off at any time. Who will take over the DNC and in which direction will it go/or how fast will the party implode because far left-wing agendas are stalling? They did not get the voting bill passed, they haven’t gotten the union bill passed and they haven’t really overhauled major institutions just yet through Congress. We know all the maneuvering is because of 2022, so Republicans need to strategize!
Democrats are fighting, I say Let them Fight. Who knows? Something better might come from it.
