Two Hundred Forty-Seven years ago, a few brave men penned our Declaration of Independence, signing their names for all the world and especially for King George III to see. Who were these rebellious colonists and what business did they have defying His Majesty the King! We all know their names and history (or should) from our school classes, and we know the history of our great nation, and the rise to the status of superpower that the United States of America became.
Take a few minutes today to think about where we came from, the rough men who stood guard to protect us and keep us free, and how we can all uphold our American values in the current day and time.
