This New Years Eve post comes from Rey. Thank you Rey, and Happy New Year to all.
As the year draws to an end, people all over the world, as we all are here on FR, are preparing to ring in the new year. For most of us, it is a time of reflection on the year gone by; what we faced, the challenges, the lessons we learned, the people we regularly deal with and, of courses, the experiences we had. The end of the year, along with the beginning of a new one delivers small and large significance.
For many of us, the new year symbolizes a fresh start, an opportunity to embrace new beginnings while putting the past behind us, well some of the past. Memories last. For some, the new year is a reminder to be grateful for what we have and to focus on the present moment. It is also a time to set new goals, make plans, and take positive and deliberate actions towards the life we want to live. Regardless of what it means to us personally, the new year is a marker of time passed and a future ahead, which brings our FR family (via posts, texts and phone calls) together in celebration, reflection, and hope for the future.
May your year end on a warm and blessed note. Be thankful and carry on. There’s much to enjoy with loved ones, family and friends. For those we lost this year, may your remembrance be cherished and blessed with goodness and kindness.
